Product description
Jeger Microcement is a ready-to-use decorative coating with a wide range of applications – you can finish floors, floors, stairs, walls, countertops, etc. It is ideal for minimalist, uncluttered interiors, both eclectic and industrial. The product is very durable and characterised by strong adhesion to various substrates such as concrete, cement mortar, gypsum, plasterboard and others. Thanks to its high strength parameters, it is ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.
How to do that? It's just 3 steps
You only need two tools.
Paint roller
Trowel
Spread primer
Prime the substrate with Jeger Primer Microcement and allow to dry for 2-4 hours. The substrate to be primed must be stable and load-bearing. The moisture content of the substrate must not exceed 4%. Remove cement laitance, other coatings and any dirt by sanding and vacuuming. If the substrate is uneven or uneven, grind or level it using a self-levelling screed. Touch up any defects with repair mortars. In the case of underfloor heating, very cracked substrates and non-concrete substrates (e.g. OSB), reinforce the substrate with fibreglass mesh and quartz bonding bridge under plasters and levelling compounds.
Apply decorative effect
Jeger Microcement mix thoroughly. Do not dilute with water. Apply at a temperature of +15°C to +25°C, avoiding draughts and dust. Spread evenly with a trowel over the entire surface, to a thickness of no more than 1 mm, using the wet-on-wet method. Allow to dry for 4-6 hours. Sand the dry coating using sandpaper 60-120 grit (depending on the desired effect). Vacuum the whole area and apply the second coat using the same method as the first coat.
Protect surface
After approx. 4-6 hours, sand and vacuum the entire surface, then protect the substrate with a varnish of your choice: Jeger Protector 2K Microcement Matt or Jeger Protector 2K Microcement Satin, depending on the desired effect. Wash the tools with warm water when finished.
Tips
If you need to use more than one pack of product, mix the contents of all packs together before applying. This will ensure a uniform shade. Test the effect on a small area before application. Note: When applying to floors with underfloor heating, be sure to switch off the heating before proceeding.
