Jeger Primer Clay Paint primer for the decorative effect Jeger Clay Paint. It evens out the substrate’s absorbency, strengthens the surface, enhances the adhesion of the decorative effect, and ensures proper application to achieve the desired finish.

Surface preparation

The surface should be dry, clean, and sound. Remove damaged coatings of previous paints (e.g. peeling or cracked layers), as well as glue-based and lime paints. Fill any surface imperfections with a suitable filler and sand smooth. Previously painted surfaces should be cleaned of any contaminants that may reduce paint adhesion, such as dust, grease stains, rust, fungi, or mould.

Product application

Stir the product thoroughly before use. Do not dilute with water. Do not mix with other products. Apply the first coat using a microfibre roller, spreading the product in a criss-cross motion irregularly in all directions. Leave to dry for 2 hours. After this time, the surface can be coated with the decorative effect. If necessary, when the substrate colour still shows through clearly, apply a second coat of Jeger Primer Clay Paint. Apply at temperatures between +8°C and +25°C, with a maximum relative humidity of 82%, and avoid draughts. After finishing the work, clean the tools with warm water.
